The album was recorded at New York Theater Ritz "December 4, 1992. Nineteen of jazz standards, in large part owned by Billie Holiday, has been sung in motaunovskoy diva in 1972, the soundtrack to «Lady Sings the Blues», devoted to the Holiday. With accompanying Diane includes such giants of jazz, as Roy Hargrove, Ron Carter, Jon Faddis, Urbie Greene and many others. After releasing the album reached Top 10 on Billboard in the Jazz charts.
